Mission
The Heights Forum is a department of The Heights School. We assist parents, school leaders, and teachers in their own efforts to educate boys into men fully alive. Through in-person and digital resources we share our experience in forming the hearts and minds of boys, and invite you to join the conversation.
What We Do
The Forum assists school leaders, teachers, and parents by helping them clarify the principles that guide their work and offering guidance on how to put these principles into practice. Because there can and ought to be a diversity of ways in which principles are embodied, our goal is not to offer The Heights School as a model to be copied. Rather, our hope is that by sharing our school and offering counsel in the context of professional friendship, we may assist others in developing the unique cultures of their own schools and homes.
How We Do This
- Researching and writing on best practices for the education of boys
- Engaging parents, teachers, and school leaders through online and in-person talks
- Hosting on-campus conferences that share our approach and immerse participants in our culture
- Supporting and forming men in education who can serve as models and mentors for the boys at their schools
- Cultivating networks of educators united by a shared mission of assisting parents in the holistic education of their sons
